A word about allergies

Some kids have food intolerances or allergies and may be at risk of food related anaphylaxis.
Common food allergens include peanuts, wheat, tree nuts  (almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamias, pecans, pine nuts, pistachio nuts and walnuts), sesame, egg, cow's milk, fish and soy.
Food allergies can develop at  any time, so please check with your doctor before using a recipe that includes an ingredient that you have not used for your child before.
Please also check with the teacher before sending any food to school containing peanuts, tree nuts or sesame.
